We are a team of like-minded people and this is crucial for us!
We come from the well-known Kharkiv School of Civil Law, but not only that – we have united the best civil lawyers from different institutions.
We are students and teachers: students since we need to study all the time; teachers since we are law professors and educate the future lawyers.
We are researchers and practicing lawyers.
We strive for more, we dive deeper, we want to see further. After all, the global legal field has no limits.
Our history
So far, it has been quite short, but intense. The NGO “Civil Platform” was established in 2019 and we immediately immersed ourselves in the legal life.
We started discussing the most high-profile legal decisions of the Supreme Court, draft laws, problems arising in attorneys’, notaries’ and court practice.
We share our thoughts with the legal community. And the productive discussions that take place at webinars, conferences and in publications are gaining immense popularity.
Over the past five years, we have launched and published four book series under the auspices of the Civil Law Platform: “Problems of Judicial Practice”, “Practical Civil Law”, “Commentary on the Civil Code of Ukraine”, and “Focus and Viewpoint”.
Our mission
Through our activities, we strive to demonstrate that:
- Education is not merely a set of knowledge, but the ability to apply it.
- Without basic knowledge, solving specific problems in practice is impossible.
- Theory and practice are the two wings of civil law.

- Bringing Ukrainian civil law beyond the narrow limits of existence in the boundaries of our country only;
- Achieving the interest of foreign colleagues and partners in the scientific works of Ukrainian civilists;
- Promotion of high professionalism and qualifications, quality educational standards, morality and ethics among the legal profession;
